The RIGOL DS1000Z-E Series comprises two-channel digital oscilloscopes with a 1 GSa/s maximum real-time sample rate, 24 Mpts of standard memory and a waveform capture rate reaching 30,000 waveforms per second. The DS1102Z-E provides 100 MHz bandwidth, while the DS1202Z-E extends the bandwidth to 200 MHz.

Deep memory, intensity-graded waveform display and multiple trigger and analysis functions help users investigate intermittent events and retain signal detail over longer acquisitions. USB and LAN connectivity, LXI support and remote-command control allow the instrument to operate as a standalone bench oscilloscope or as part of a networked test system.

Key Features

  • 100 or 200 MHz bandwidth: The DS1102Z-E provides 100 MHz bandwidth, while the DS1202Z-E supports applications requiring up to 200 MHz.
  • Two analog channels: Allows related circuit signals to be acquired and compared simultaneously.
  • Up to 1 GSa/s real-time sampling: Captures signal transitions for circuit development, maintenance and embedded-system debugging.
  • 24 Mpts standard memory: Maintains useful waveform detail across longer time windows without requiring a memory-depth option.
  • Up to 30,000 waveforms per second: Improves the probability of observing intermittent glitches and infrequent signal anomalies.
  • 1 mV/div to 10 V/div vertical range: Supports measurements from low-amplitude circuit signals to larger waveform levels.
  • Extensive triggering: Provides up to 15 trigger types for isolating edges, pulses, timing conditions and supported bus events.
  • Integrated measurement and math tools: Includes automatic measurement of 37 waveform parameters, statistics, FFT and multiple waveform calculations.
  • 7-inch color display: The 800 × 480 TFT screen uses intensity grading and adjustable brightness to show waveform activity clearly.
  • Standard USB, LAN and Aux interfaces: Supports data transfer, remote control, network integration and trigger/pass-fail output workflows.

Deep-Memory Waveform Analysis

The standard 24 Mpts memory depth allows the oscilloscope to retain more samples across long acquisitions. This helps users examine both the overall signal behavior and individual waveform details while maintaining a higher sampling rate over a longer time interval.

Waveform intensity grading indicates how frequently signal events occur, while fine delayed sweep, adjustable persistence and waveform navigation tools support closer examination of selected regions.

Triggering and Bus Analysis

The DS1000Z-E Series supports a broad selection of trigger functions for isolating signal events and intermittent faults. Parallel, RS232/UART, I²C and SPI decoding is available for embedded-system and serial communication analysis, allowing decoded data to be correlated directly with acquired waveforms.

Measurements and Test Functions

  • Automatic measurement of 37 waveform parameters with statistics
  • FFT frequency-domain analysis
  • Waveform arithmetic and filtering functions
  • Fine delayed sweep for detailed waveform inspection
  • Pass/fail testing for repetitive limit checks
  • Hardware frequency counter
  • Automatic waveform setup

Connectivity and Automation

Standard USB Host, USB Device, LAN and Aux connections support storage devices, PC communication and network control. Compliance with the LXI Core 2011 device class and remote-command support allow the oscilloscope to be integrated into automated or remotely managed test environments.

Applications

  • Embedded hardware and firmware debugging
  • Analog and digital circuit development
  • Power supply and control-system troubleshooting
  • Optional UART, I²C and SPI bus analysis
  • Electronics maintenance and equipment repair
  • Research and laboratory measurements
  • Electronics education and practical training
  • Automated pass/fail and remote test systems

Choose Between the DS1102Z-E and DS1202Z-E

Choose the DS1102Z-E for applications requiring up to 100 MHz bandwidth. Select the DS1202Z-E when signal content or edge speeds require up to 200 MHz. Both models provide two analog channels, a 1 GSa/s maximum sample rate, 24 Mpts of standard memory and a 30,000 wfms/s maximum capture rate.

Why Choose the DS1000Z-E Series?

The DS1000Z-E Series is suited to users who need deep standard memory and practical analysis functions in a two-channel bench oscilloscope. Its two bandwidth configurations support different measurement requirements, while USB, LAN and remote control simplify integration into laboratory and automated test workflows.
