CHNSpec CS-820 Series Benchtop Spectrophotometers

The CHNSpec CS-820P, CS-821N and CS-826 are benchtop spectrophotometers for laboratory color analysis, incoming inspection and production quality control. Each model combines d/8 reflection and d/0 transmission measurement, simultaneous SCI/SCE capture, a 360–780nm wavelength range and selectable apertures for solids, films, liquids and other sample formats.

A 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, Android operating system, 8GB storage and PC-side color management support streamline routine measurement and reporting. Pulsed xenon and LED illumination, selectable UV cutoff modes and automatic aperture recognition help one platform cover both conventional and fluorescent materials.

Model Differences & Selection

• CS-820P: Uses a silicon photodiode array with 5nm spectral resolution, ΔE*ab≤0.02 repeatability and ΔE*ab 0.25 inter-instrument agreement. Choose it for cost-conscious laboratory reflection and transmission work.
• CS-821N: Adds a dual high-precision CMOS array, 1.6nm spectral resolution, ΔE*ab≤0.015 repeatability and ΔE*ab 0.2 agreement. It is suited to routine quality control requiring improved precision and long-term stability.
• CS-826: Provides the highest repeatability in the group at ΔE*ab≤0.01, with 1.6nm spectral resolution and ΔE*ab 0.2 agreement. Select it for demanding color matching, dark samples and fluorescent-material measurements.
