The TRONOVO TR1005 is a 50MHz high-voltage differential probe designed to convert floating differential signals into ground-referenced low-voltage signals that can be displayed safely by a conventional oscilloscope. Selectable 50X and 500X attenuation supports maximum differential voltage ranges of ±130V and ±1300V DC plus peak AC.

With a rise time of 7ns or less, ±2% accuracy and common-mode rejection greater than 80dB at DC, the TR1005 supports waveform analysis in electrically noisy power-electronics environments. Its differential input configuration is suitable for measurements where neither test point is at oscilloscope ground potential.

Key Features

  • 50MHz bandwidth: Captures switching waveforms and fast signal transitions with a rise time of 7ns or less.
  • 50X/500X attenuation: Select between ±130V and ±1300V maximum differential measurement ranges.
  • ±2% accuracy: Supports dependable voltage and waveform measurements in development and troubleshooting work.
  • High common-mode rejection: Greater than 80dB at DC, 60dB at 100kHz and 50dB at 1MHz.
  • Low input capacitance: Less than 7pF from either input to ground and less than 3.5pF between the two inputs.
  • Defined input impedance: 4MΩ from either input to ground and 8MΩ between inputs.
  • Input-to-ground rating: 600V CAT III or 1000V CAT II Vrms according to the official specification.
  • External power: Operates from a DC 9V/1A adapter.

Applications

  • Switch-mode power supply development and maintenance
  • Inverter and frequency-converter waveform analysis
  • Motor-drive control measurements
  • Floating and isolated voltage measurements
  • IGBT switching and PWM signal analysis
  • Power-electronics research, evaluation and troubleshooting

Why Use a Differential Probe?

A grounded oscilloscope probe must not be connected directly across two floating high-voltage points. The TR1005 measures the voltage difference between its red and black inputs while rejecting voltage common to both inputs, allowing the oscilloscope to display the resulting waveform at a ground-referenced output.

Safety and Selection Note

Use only within the published differential, common-mode and input-to-ground limits. Confirm the selected attenuation range before connecting the probe, observe voltage derating requirements, and follow the current TRONOVO manual and applicable high-voltage safety procedures.
