CHNSpec DS-700 Series Portable Spectrophotometers

The CHNSpec DS-700A, DS-700D and DS-700E are portable D/8 spectrophotometers that support both SCI and SCE measurement for professional color quality control. A 400–700nm spectral range, 10nm wavelength interval, more than 30 measurement parameters and nearly 40 evaluation illuminants support color inspection across coatings, plastics, printing, textiles and manufactured components.

The series scales from four-aperture visual measurement to camera-positioned UV measurement with up to twelve aperture configurations. Every model includes intelligent automatic calibration, USB and Bluetooth, a 3.5-inch full-color screen and connected workflows for Android, iOS, Windows and the WeChat mini program.

Model Differences & Selection

• DS-700A: provides four aperture configurations, visual positioning, a standard array sensor, ΔE*ab≤0.025 repeatability and an approximately 2s measurement time. Choose it for routine color inspection with conventional measurement areas.
• DS-700D: expands to eight aperture configurations and adds UV illumination, camera positioning, a dual high-precision CMOS array sensor, ΔE*ab≤0.02 repeatability and an approximately 1s measurement time. Choose it for flexible production testing, fluorescent materials and precise target placement.
• DS-700E: offers twelve aperture configurations while retaining the DS-700D UV, camera and dual-CMOS capabilities. Its ΔE*ab≤0.2 inter-instrument agreement makes it the preferred model when the widest sample flexibility and stronger agreement across multiple instruments are required.
