CHNSpec ColorMeter SE, Pro & Max Pocket Colorimeters

The CHNSpec ColorMeter SE, ColorMeter Pro and ColorMeter Max are compact D/8 SCI colorimeters designed for portable color checks in plastics, printing, packaging, textiles, garments and other production environments. Every model combines an 8mm aperture, Bluetooth connectivity, a 1.14-inch IPS color display and automatic calibration in a pocket-size 31×102mm housing weighing about 90g.

The range scales from essential CIE-Lab and ΔE*ab comparison to full 400–700nm spectral measurement and higher-consistency quality control. Mobile connectivity supports color records and color-card searches in the field, while Pro and Max also support Windows software for broader data-management workflows.

Model Differences & Selection

• ColorMeter SE: measures CIE-Lab, ΔE*ab and a reflectance curve using D65 and a 10° observer. It provides ΔE≤0.1 stability, approximately 1.5s measurement time, up to 5,000 measurements per charge and Android/iOS support. Choose SE for straightforward mobile color screening.
• ColorMeter Pro: adds a 400–700nm spectral range at 10nm intervals, a broad set of color indices, 26 illuminants, 2°/10° observers, USB data connectivity, Windows support and up to 10,000 measurements per charge. Choose Pro for professional color QC and spectral data management.
• ColorMeter Max: retains the Pro feature set while improving stability to ΔE≤0.05, inter-instrument agreement to ΔE*00<0.2 and measurement time to 1s. Choose Max when faster inspection and stronger agreement between instruments are important.
