The Linshang LS255 is a portable digital Webster hardness tester designed for rapid hardness inspection of aluminum alloys, brass, copper, soft steel and other compatible metal materials. It is particularly suitable for piece-by-piece quality inspection of metal profiles, plates and tubes at production facilities, sales locations and construction sites.
Unlike a conventional dial-type Webster tester, the LS255 uses a digital OLED display with 0.1HWA resolution. Automatic result locking, built-in hardness conversion and straightforward calibration help operators complete repetitive inspections efficiently while reducing manual reading and conversion errors.
Digital Webster Hardness Measurement
The LS255 applies Webster hardness measurement principles with eddy-current induction technology to provide digital results. Its integrated handheld construction supports convenient one-handed operation for fast inspection of manufactured and installed metal components.
The instrument provides ±0.5HWA accuracy and 0.5HWA repeatability under the manufacturer’s specified conditions.
Six Built-In Hardness Scales
Measurement results can be displayed or converted using six integrated hardness scales:
- HWA Webster
- HRE Rockwell E
- HRF Rockwell F
- HRB Rockwell B
- HV Vickers
- HB Brinell
Built-in conversion eliminates the need to manually consult separate hardness conversion tables during routine inspections.
Automatic Data Locking
The automatic peak-locking function holds the measurement result on the display. Operators do not need to maintain full handle pressure while reading the value, improving convenience during repeated measurements.
Reference and Hardness Calibration
The LS255 supports disassembly-free reference calibration, which can be completed by pressing the handle according to the operating procedure. Users can also perform hardness calibration with the supplied standard hardness block to correct measurement deviations.
Measurement Storage and Android App
The instrument can store nine sets of measurement results internally. For larger inspection records, the compatible Android mobile app supports online measurement, mass data storage, result export and sharing.
The mobile application requires Android 7.0 or later. Compatibility with iOS devices is not specified by the manufacturer.
